Kids' Night Out

Last week, Gabbie and her nawie friends Jia and Laya had a kids' night out in the water feature in BGC. At first we were hesitant to let her play and get really wet from the water fountains but knowing her (who sooo much loves water), we eventually gave in.

When we got home, the girls were super tired. We couldn't even change their clothes because we didn't want to disturb them sleeping

It was tiring but the kids had fun. It was priceless.

Doing things together

She imitates her ate. She idolizes ate. They love doing things together.

Antok...

One rainy afternoon, may isang batang hindi natulog nang early afternoon para makipaglaro sa kanyang ate. At 4pm finally nakatulog na sya pero dahil sa sobrang antok, kahit mahulog na sya sa mattress, hindi pa din nagigising.

She stirred a little when her Ate made some noise, she rolled but still... sleeping.

When finally she woke up, she was looking like "bakit nandito na ko? ano ginagawa ko dito sa sahig?"

Ayan, ayan ang nangyayari sa mga batang nilalabanan ang antok at hindi natutulog sa oras na dapat natutulog sila dahil gustong makipaglaro sa ate.

*sorry Rafa, napaglaruan ka na naman ni mommy, hehe*

Happy 6th month!

Rafa had her first serving of "solids" exactly on her 6th month. We gave her mashed (or was it pureed?) organic carrots from Earthbest. She had it for three days so I could check if she's allergic to carrots. On the next three days she had mashed squash. She's currently eating banana and I hope everything goes well with it also.

When I get the chance I will buy some fresh organic veggies from the market so I can prepare her food by myself.

Summer Swimming Lessons

Abby enrolled in a summer swimming class and this is what she has learned so far after a week of basic lessons (breathing and kicking).

Starting juices and solids!

On her 5th month check up, we were given a go signal by her pedia to give her freshly squeezed juice already. An ounce of it and another ounce of drinking water, daily.

Few days from now, when she turns exactly six months, we can already give her cereals to replace one (milk) feeding. Happy much Rafa!

From the looks of it, she is almost ready to eat solids. Happy 5th month Rafa! :)

Summer Look

Enjoying the summer, at least in hairstyle.

For the longest time, she wouldn't allow me to have her hair cut because she wanted to be like Rapunzel- ever! I even posted in FB that I'd give a reward to anyone who can convince her to cut it. But this summer I plan to enrol her to a swimming lesson. This is the only reason acceptable to her and when she learned about it, right then we went to Ate Ganda (hair stylist) to get a haircut.

5th Anniversary Gift

A VS (very satisfactory) rating in Writing and an average grade of 95.87. Congratulations to Ate Gabbie and Happy 5th Anniversary to us, Daddy Mike!

Rafa's 4th month...

She entertains herself by playing toys or anything that she can get hold of. She holds her head upright when she's lying on her tummy. She giggles at the sight of kids playing. She responds when she hears her name being called. She kicks and moves her hands when she sees kids playing basketball.

She still breastfeeds.
